Hello and welcome to Graceful Awareness!

My name is Ana Teresa, I’m from Portugal, living in Ireland for the past 8 years. I’m a General Nurse, an Angelic Energy Healer and a Mindfulness Teacher. I grew up in a small town on the country side of Portugal. I studied Nursing and I graduated in 2016. In 2017 I started one of my greatest adventures on a personal and professional level, moving to Lucan, Dublin in Ireland, where I still live to this day. I love long walks in Nature, quality times with my loved ones and I cherish my freedom and my inner peace. I love reading books, drawing and listening to music.

When I was younger, I went through a hard time struggling with my mental health. I was a very anxious teenager, disconnected from the world, feeling overwhelmed and putting a lot of pressure on myself to be perfect in every area of my life. This took me on a journey, initially through therapy, and eventually by being introduced to and researching different tools and resources, to try to find ways to help myself to improve my wellbeing.

My main goal with Graceful Awareness is to create a sacred space where people can feel safe to be themselves, can learn new tools and resources to improve their life, can meet like-minded people and share their truth.

Nursing Background

One of the reasons I became a nurse was to help and support others in need to achieve the best way of life possible, especially when they are not able to do it by themselves. It is always an honor for me to be part of someone’s journey while they are trying to improve their life. While I feel so highly in doing this as a nurse, I felt that I wanted to share more of what I learned throughout the years. I wanted to provide the same resources, the inner peace that I feel, to show how these could be beneficial and to provide a safe space where anyone could feel comfortable, where they could connect with others with similar life journeys and maybe a sense of home. This is how Graceful Awareness came to be, with the will to do all this, complementing modern medicine and modern treatments.

Angelic Healing

Angels have been part of my life since I was a child. I always had a fascination with this lovely beings of pure light and energy that often I would create colorful drawings portraying them. I always felt very protected like someone was watching over me, keeping me safe. They always brought me a sense of peace, protection, and a connection with the Divine. But it was only in my early 20’s that I was introduced to books about angels suggested by friend at the time. A couple of years later, another friend offered me my first deck of Angel Cards, which I still have to this day. Throughout the years, I’ve tried to look for workshops, talks, classes, meditations, communities that I could be part of, where I could meet like-minded people with the same love for angels that I have. Eventually, through a friend I found Debbie Boyle’s Angelic Connections, where I participate in angelic meditation classes, workshops and courses where I became an Angelic Energy Healer. Initially, I started participating in the classes because of my love for angels and to improve my own well-being, especially in relation to my mental health. As I got deeper in the teachings, practices and lessons, I started seeing how beneficial these were for my well-being and I got encouragement to level up and bring these practices to other people, to help improve their well-being and their quality of life. I became a Certified Angelic Energy Healer in December of 2024.

Mindfulness

I was introduced to mindfulness and meditation when I was a teenager, through a workshop organized in my school at the time. This lead me to, throughout the years, to practice with consistency and regularly. This consistency was what helped, especially  throughout the pandemic years. It helped me deal with stressful situations, gave me more balance and focus, helped me feel more grounded to face the changes that were happening in such a hard time. I

Eventually I felt like I wanted to go more deep into it, and I applied to the Irish Mindfulness Academy where I graduated with a Diploma in Teaching Mindfulness and Meditation.

The lovely and deep journey in Mindfulness helped me to slow down and actually enjoy the present moment, to appreciate the “small things” in life, to see the world more kindly, and where I learned about self-compassion. Where I learned to pause and breath. This is what I want to share with anyone looking to experience the world in a different perspective, to improve their quality of life, to implement healthy habits. I want people to know that in a world where “being in a rush” is the norm, they are able to take a break, to stop and just live in the here and now.
